Hello, my name is Molly Rebekah. My mommy thinks I'm cute, distracting, and all-consuming enough to use as an excuse not to spend time writing stories. I don't know. I kind of like stories. I wouldn't want to be a deterrent to her success as an author, you know? Still. My siblings tell me that Mommy smiles a lot more since I've been born. That can't be a bad thing. And I've been letting her sleep through the night for over three months now. Maybe it's time she gets back to work. I'm sure she'll drop everything the moment I call her. I mean, that's the way it works, right? When you want something, you make a really cute sound and everybody comes running. Yeah, I like that. Go for it, Mommy. Write your stories. I promise not to poop until you're at a good stopping point. Unless Daddy's home. Labels: baby |

7of my readers are feeling chatty:
Daddy? Or Maggie...or Rachel...or possibly even Jonathan.
Cute cute cute cute cute cute!!!!
One more reason C.S. Lewis is one of my heros is that he reportedly could be working away, be interrupted (as Mrs. Moore was wont to do, frequently), take care of whatever task had diverted him then sit right back down again and pick up where he'd left off as though he'd never paused.
How I envy that ability!
Of course Jack definitely didn't suffer "mommy brain". :-)
SO cute and funny too.
I keep thinking it is probably time I started accomplishing something too and not just play w/ or hold Holly all day and getting the bare minimum done to keep the house running. But she is very hard to resist. Even when she is asleep I am tempted to just sit and study her =)
But the excuse of a "newborn" is starting to get a little thin.
Glad I'm not the only mama happily distracted by a "dolly"
You know what? I have been feeling very similairly Jill. I decided to enjoy this time with all of my heart and share the happiness with my family. I hate to sound like a cliche but it's true--time really does fly by.
It sounds like you have been doing this too. Look at that face! How could you not?
Keep smiling...the stories will come.
Ahhh ... little Molly ... what a dollie!
Dang...isn't she the cutest little thing ever?
I think so, yes.
I can see why you'd be so distracted, Jill!
Your baby is getting more and more beautiful!!! *Tarie's heart melts*
