Thursday, August 16, 2007Announcing: The Big Guess-The-Birth-Day Contest!It wouldn't be half as fun if we didn't make a little game of it, right? So here's the skinny: If you want to play, please leave your guess in the comment box of this post. Don't post anonymously; use a screen name that will make you easily identifiable. Your guess must consist of two parts: The DATE of birth and the WEIGHT of the baby. We already know it's a girl. Judging criteria are as follow: Contest entries will be based FIRST on the date. If two or more entrees have the correct date, the winner will be the one with the closest WEIGHT. Getting the weight correct but the date wrong does not a winner make! You can add any other "guesses" you'd like, just for some fun conversation. However, the actual contest will be based solely on the above criteria. What's the PRIZE, you ask? It's a cool one! Jenn at The Virgin Bean will graciously supply the winner with a free Coffee Sampler, consisting of three, four-ounce samples of some of the most scrumptious, organic coffee beans you'll ever experience. (See the little red "X" to the right? That's supposed to be a logo for The Virgin Bean. We're still working on it. In the meantime, it's clickable, so head on over and check out their web site!) As far as making educated guesses? Anything goes. My "due date" is September 5. I'm not known for going late. My earliest baby came at 38 weeks. That's all I've got for you. She'll arrive after a wonderful natural delivery and her excited family will instantly be wrapped around her pinky. :o)
August 31
7 lb. 13 oz
My guess...
Wednesday, August 29. 7 lbs, 2 oz.
7 lbs. 4 oz.
ok, I didn't read the directions clearly (Preggo brain of my own here)
So I will leave the weight at 7 lbs. 4 oz.
Adding that it will be Sept. 3 (which btw IS labor day)
That was the stats for my first born.
Although I'd personally like more hints/info. Like....what were the birth weights of your other babies. How much weight have you gained so far? Etc.
But I've made my guess so we'll see.
August 22nd
6lbs, 14oz
7 lbs 11 oz.
I thought I'd go for that 7-11 thing.

I'm going out on a limb and guess she'll be fashonably late, just to mix it up.

Hello, Jill. :) I saw the pictures. You're such a pretty mommy and that blouse is fabulous! I think your baby will be born on Sept. 1. I'm guessing she will weigh 7 and a half pounds. :)

You will go into labor late at night on August 31st, and the wee baby will grace us with her presence on early Sept. 1st AM. She will weigh 8lbs 2oz and be 21 inches long.
LOL! Just a guess - although I would love to spend my birthday, Sept. 4th, with you Mrs. Jill!
Much as I'd love to celebrate your birthday with you, I REALLY would rather have the baby before then. :)
I'm going to guess August 27 for the birth date because that's my oldest niece's birthday. She'll be 33. I'm guess 7 pounds 2 ounces because that was her birth weight. ;)

Okay, so I'll go with my brothers birthday, because I feel like it...
August 29th. She'll be 8 lbs 1 oz.
I'm going to guess Aug. 28th weighing in at 8 lb. 4 oz. Those are the numbers for my baby girl and she wasn't due until Sept. 14th. Good luck! May you have a fast and easy delivery! God bless you and your family.
