Wednesday, December 06, 2006The Littlest Elf Needs a Bigger Allowance"Oooo, we have to go Christmas shopping!" Spencer's enthusiasm lights his face like Charlie Brown's tree. His thoughts? What to give Daddy for Christmas. "I know! I can give him a video i-Pod!" How I hate to squelch that enthusiasm. "Ur...those are kind of expensive. Really expensive." "Oh." Pause. "I can give him chocolate." There you have it -- a five-second downgrade from technology to chocolate. Sorry, Eric... Labels: parenting |

13of my readers are feeling chatty:
Personally, I'd prefer the chocolate to the video i-Pod! So tell Sweetie Pea Aunt Jamie isn't picky:o)
LMAO. They both give the same euphoric effect except, the chocolate gets sticky in your ears. mmm...chocolate.
I would be happy with that.
Awww!!! He is adorable!
He could get him a pea pod I suppose.
I agree with Kerrie, that IS adorable. =) Happy Holidays to you and your family, Jill! =)
Hmmmm...he was thinking techno-gadgety ipod then Chocolate. Are you sure that he didn't mean the Chocolate phone that's being advertised like mad by Cingular? hehehe
I'm sure he meant the candy, but wouldn't that have been funny? :)
LOL tiggerprr!! I was thinking about the Chocolate phone too!!
As for real chocolate, I would have to suggest the Ghirardelli EggNog flavor. SO YUM!!
I offered to buy Mr 14 an ipod but only a one gig he said that was NOT enough, guess what MR you are not getting any ipod from me now.
Grrr
BTW thanks for the vote, I am so far behind in blogging and reading and commenting and and and sighhhhhhhh life is too busy lol.

Well at least he had his Dad's needs in mind and wasn't trying to pick up something he wanted for himself.
Mine used to say, "Daddy would love...." and it would be something that THEY enjoyed. I'd laugh. As they got older, it was always, "Daddy likes tools."
MERRY CHRISTMAS
and have a GOD filled weekenddq
The sentiment in his offer is precious. Someday, he'll read this and smile at how sweet it was.
I'd go for the chocolate, too. After all, the thought matters far more than the dollar amount.
How about a downgrade from a video iPod to a 4GB Nano iPod? (silver) :)
He is a great son!
