Friday Wrap-up

1. Eph2810 was gracious enough to invite me be a "guest blogger." Pop over to her site and read my offering, "For Better or Worse or Really, Really Bad".

2. I bought a bra at Kohls off the 70-percent-off rack. You have no idea how exciting that is. Seriously. Finding my bra size on a sale rack is like winning an underwear lottery. The racks are filled with gargantuan sizes like 42-D. I could use one of those for a bike helmet, but I surely couldn't wear it under my shirts.

3. Spencer lost his first top tooth. Yesterday. I'm still in complete denial that my "baby" no longer has his "baby smile." No wonder I bought myself a bra. I was self-medicating.

4. I'm close to launching SIX STEPS TO SANITY, my six-class, downloadable course for women (stay tuned! this is exciting news!). Eric says we'll open his prized bottle of Duck Horn merlot when the Big Day arrives. I suppose that's a little more exciting than a new bra.

5. In the middle of Borders earlier this week, I exclaimed to Eric, "I don't want to be a writer." He kept walking past the bookshelves, didn't bat an eyelash, and said, "Yes, you do." Okay, so maybe I need him. I can't help but wonder why "artistes" are always temperamental. In order to make it in the writing or music or art or theatre world, you've got to be really, really tough. Some days, I just don't feel tough enough.

6. I think I will wear my new bra tomorrow.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I can only imagine how difficult it is to go through the phases of writing and then getting a book published. I can understand you saying, "I don't want to be a writer." How many published writers do you think said that?

Please don't give up your dreams. We're all waiting and will continue to wait for your works to be be available for us to buy.... at Borders. We want to somehow share that dream with you.

Ken

P.S.
I actually commented first to one of your posts! It's the first time! Yay for me! :-) It's the little things, ya know?

Hi Jill, thank you so much for writing the awesome article on my blog. I am very honored ~

Ah, those sales on bras, I am always happy when VS has their sales ~ I think the semi-annual one is next month, just in time for Valentins Day *grin*.

And yes, you want to be a writer!!! No way could you not want to be one.
Oh, I am so looking forward to the course for women...I am ready for it.

Oh, one more thing: noticed that Eric has a link on his blog to Eph2810. Could you let him know the correct URL - it is still the old one, when I was under the supervision of blogspot - lol...
Have a great weekend. :)
((((hugs))))

Use the 42D size to launch canteloupes in the next neighborhood.

By the way Jill, you would shrivel up and die if you couldnt write!

It's a unique outlet we have. We can pour our souls into the pages which is our version of a rant blog.

On the days that you don't feel tough enough, remember that you have all of your writer friends to lean on.

Good luck with your course!

What is the cost?

Dave,

Do you think I can get Jill trained to launch the canteloupes so that at least one of them will hit and kill my neighbor's insane dog?

:)

Sorry, late, end of the week and cynical.

Sweetheart,

Since when did you move down from a 42-D??????

:)

I too want to add my words of encouragement to your dream of writing. Go girl!!!

Isn't it amazing how a little thing like finding a discounted bra can make your day? I just bought one at full price and it put me in a really bad mood. lol.

Ken -- I can't even tell you how encouraging your comment is, so I won't try.

And yep, you commented first -- and those little things DO mean something. I'm the same way. :) (Scary, huh?)

Iris -- thanks again for asking me! And I've told Eric about the link update on his blog.

Dave -- LOLOL!!

And yes, I know you understand, and thank you for always standing by me and with me.

I'll email you about the course.

Eric -- SHUT UP!

Seawave -- LOL! I hear ya! And thank you for the encouragement.
